The food was Amazing!! Compliments to the chef "Steven" Veronica was great at explaining what's in the food great hand gestures!🙂 I'll definitely visit here again.

This place gets it! Great employees who are actually happy to be there and having fun while they work, cranking the oldies. Try the Dryden Burger, which is ginormous and is best eaten with a knife and fork. If the clam chowder is available, order it! It's scrumptious!

An absolute local gem. Creative food options - especially for breakfast. Sure to be a hit - but don't tell too many people. Part of the charm is the small-town, local vibe this place has going.

I love the take a break cafe, the food there is the best in the valley, and the service is friendly and as fast as it can be. My favorite place for breakfast and lunch. If you havnt tried it already your missing out!

The breakfast was amazing. Food was absolutely delicious, I got the So-Be-It and they give you more than you bargained for. Portions are filling beyond your wildest dreams. A must go to if you're on that side of the mountain!👍👍

B&G fabulous! Don't look for white, floury gravy. The rich, brownish deliciousness that is their sage sausage gravy's flavor tops any I've had in 58 years! Himself had Sweet Potato Latkes...oh MY! Not too sweet... literally perfection with apple chutney, whip, and pecans sprinkled atop. Scrumptious!

Prices have gone up substantially. Service has gone downhill. WAY too noisy--difficult to have a conversation. Used to be a special 'local' place. Now crowded, noisy, and expensive. Ratings have been stellar in the past. Unfortunately, way too small for the resulting tourist business.

My first review I have ever written but I had to because the food was so good! The banana chocolate chip bread pudding French toast was magical. Make sure you get the “gravy” which is really caramel sauce heaven. Oh and a biscuit because that was stellar as well. Definitely coming back!

This place is perfect if you're just driving through or even "breakfast with mom". The staff will serve you as quick as possible, make you feel at home and even give the right amount of sass to send you on your way. Great way to start the day or even to fix a bad one.The staff is always happy to see familiar and new faces and will accommodate as best as they can to help make your experience great.

The food is amazing and so is the staff. They have a wide variety of things to eat, from grapefruit to a plate called the Sobe-it. If you leave there hungry you did something way wrong. Going to be a repeat customer.

YOU CAN NOT PASS THIS PLACE BY!!! They do breakfast and lunch and the food has that splash of flavor you only find in grandma's kitchen. The only place I know, where you order a half order and still can't believe the mountain of deliciousness sitting in front of you. And if you think that means expensive. You are sorely mistaken you could feed the entire family and still look at you bank account with a smile.

Best breakfast in the valley. The staff are attentive or just ignore the heck out of you. Both in a good way. Cooks put down the food. Everything plated fresh and served hot.

Don't be fooled be the location, this place serves excellent breakfast. We tried both savory and sweet options and were very satisfied with the prices, portions and taste of everything served. Although cash is the preferred option of payment, cards are still accepted. Would heartily recommend to anyone visiting Leavenworth!

Wow! Who would have thought a little cafe with such excellent food and service? I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. My Dad owned a successful restaurant for 24 years so I know a good place to eat when I see it. I've been on the Keto Diet for nearly 2 years and they accommodated our needs wonderfully! Nostalgic decor with a comfy atmosphere making you feel right at home! I highly recommend this cozy diner!

We tried this on a whim based on reviews. First I'd like to say the bathrooms and floors were filthy. The cafe was basically empty when we ate here. The staff were awkward, and attempted to be friendly but I agree with a previous post which indicates that they are more catered to the locals than passers by. Secondly, the Burger my husband ordered was phenomenal it started with a D and he doesn't remember the name. The chicken fried steak I ordered was on the opposite end of that spectrum, very flavorless and bland. If you drop in we both recommend getting a burger, although the fries are limp.
